معرفی ماد

مرکز اطلاع رسانی دانشجویی (ماد) روز سه شنبه ۲۶ خرداد ۱۳۸۸ توسط گروهی از دانشجویان خارج از کشور برای مبارزه با فیلترینگ وبسایت ها و منابع خبری تاسیس شد. از آن زمان ماد روزانه به مدت سه ماه یک خبرنامه به زبان های فارسی و انگلیسی تهیه کرده و برای اعضای خود ارسال می کرد. اکنون به دنبال کاهش نسبی حجم اخبار روزانه، خبرنامه سه روز در هفته (شنبه، دوشنبه و چهارشنبه) منتشر می گردد. در کنار انتشار خبرنامه، ماد همچنین امکان پخش فیلم ها و عکس های مربوط به وقایع داخل ایران را برای هموطنانی که به علت فیلترینگ یوتوب و سایت های مشابه امکان انتشار این فایل ها را ندارند، فراهم می کند.
ماد به هیچ جریان یا گروه سیاسی وابسته نبوده و در راستای تحقق مطالبات مدنی مردم ایران جهت پخش کردن خبرهایی که تحت سانسور قرار می گیرند تلاش می کند.

رسالت ماد

رسالت ماد جمع آوری اخبار روز مربوط به جنبش سبز و فرستادن آن به پست الکترونیکی اعضاست. این کار با هدف مقابله با سانسور و فیلترینگ اینترنت، خبررسانی به کسانی که فرصت مطالعه ی وبسایت های خبری مختلف را ندارند و خبررسانی به کسانی که آشنایی آن ها با اینترنت محدود است صورت می گیرد. بنابراین، ماد در پی ایجاد پوشش خبری (مانند بی بی سی، جرس، رادیوفردا و موج آزادی) نبوده بلکه در قالب پل ارتباطی خوانندگان با این موسسات خبری عمل می کند.

خدمات ماد

فعالیت اصلی ماد در جهت تحقق اهداف ذکر شده، تهیه ی خبرنامه ای است که در بر دارنده ی خلاصه اخبار روز، تحلیل های مربوط به وضعیت ایران، برنامه های آینده ی جنبش مردمی و توصیه های فعالین جنبش (از جمله محسن سازگارا) می باشد. خبرنامه ی ماد برای تمامی اعضا از طریق پست الکترونیکی ارسال می گردد. همچنین برای استفاده ی کسانی که آشنایی کافی با زبان فارسی ندارند، ترجمه ی خبرنامه به زبان انگلیسی نیز هر روز به خوانندگان ارسال می شود. به منظور افزایش گستره اطلاع رسانی، متن سخنرانی ها و بیانیه های مهم و فایل های تصویری کم حجم از تجمعات و تظاهرات فعالین جنبش سبز در داخل و حامیان این جنبش در خارج از کشور نیز به فراخور رویدادهای روزانه، به همراه خبرنامه فرستاده می شود. به منظور گسترش دایره مخاطبان اخبار جنبش سبز در بین خوانندگاه غیرفارسی زبان، ترجمه های آلمانی و فرانسوی خبرنامه نیز در دو وبلاگ مستقل Sea of Green Germany و Iran Libre Démocratique منتشر می گردد.
در همین راستا، کسانی که به علت فیلترینگ یا کم بودن سرعت اینترنت، قادر به آپلود کردن عکس ها و فیلم های خود در سایت هایی همچون یوتوب و فیسبوک نیستند، می توانند فایل های مربوطه را به پست الکترونیک ماد بفرستند تا در سایت های مختلف پخش شود.

About SIC

Student Information Center (SIC) was created by a group of Iranian students outside Iran on June 16, 2009 to help bypass filtering of websites and news resources. For the first three months after Iran's presidential elections, SIC used to compile daily newsletters in Persian and English and send them via e-mail to its subscribers. Now after relative reduction of daily news, SIC's newsletters are published three days a week - Saturday, Mondays and Wednesday. Besides publishing news, SIC also releases pictures and video clips from assemblies inside Iran for those not able to release and publish such footage due to filtering of Youtube and similar websites.

SIC is not affiliated with any political group or organization and its only attempt is to work alongside the Green Movement to realize civil demands of Iranians citizens by providing news coverage and bypassing Internet censorship.

SIC's Mission

SIC's mission is to collect daily news of the Green Movement and sending them to its subscribers. This mission is done to break through the censorship and Internet filtering, send news to those who don’t have time to read various news websites as well as those with limited familiarity or access to the Internet. Therefore, SIC does not intend to provide full news coverage like what BBC, JARAS, Radio Farda or Mowj-e Azadi do, rather to act as a bridge between news followers and these news agencies.

SIC's Services;
In order to achieve the aforementioned goals, SIC compiles newsletter which contain summary of the daily news, analysis of the current condition in Iran, future plans of the people’s movement, recommendations made by movement activists (including Mohsen Sazegara). SIC's newsletters are sent to all mailing-list subscribers via email. Moreover, English translation of all the newsletters' contents are provided for those not fluent in Persian. To extend the range of information broadcast, texts of important speeches and statement related to the Green Movement as well as small-size video files from demonstrations and protests held by movement activists inside Iran and movement supporters outside the country are attached to the emails. German and French translation of SIC's newsletters are also published in two independent weblogs, Sea of Green Germany and Iran Libre Démocratique.
In accordance with SIC's mission, those movement activists who are not able to upload their own video files recorded during protests and assemblie due to low-speed Internet connections or filtering of Facebook and Youtube, can forward their files to SIC's email address to be released on various websites.
